BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — Starting Aug. 5, McLean County Health Department will expand the hours of all clinic services.
The MCHD announced that in addition to the Women, Infants, and Children, and Child Immunization clinics, the Child Dental clinic, the STI-HIV clinic, Adult Immunization, and TB clinic will offer evening hours every Monday. Each Monday clinics will be open from 8 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday hours remain 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The MCHD also announced it will be stopping its Saturday clinics. The last clinic was held July 6.
“Discontinuing Saturday clinic was a difficult decision to make, but when we assessed the number of families utilizing extended hours we found that late Monday hours are utilized at a much higher rate than Saturday hours,” Interim Administrator of McLean County Health Department Tammy Brooks said.
The WIC clinic will still have walk-ins available for the Monday hours, but others will need an appointment.
