Great Neighbor Appreciation Week recognizes Peoria’s impactful residents

Peoria, Ill. (WEEK) – It’s a great day to be a good neighbor in Peoria.

Monday kicked off Great Neighbor Appreciation Week, hosted by the Peoria Community Development Department.

The celebration recognizes the people that go above and beyond to create a good place to live.

For day one, Code Enforcement made sure to recognize those committed to keeping their yard beautiful.

“When we hand out the good job door hangers it’s just showing our appreciation that they are taking pride in their home and hopefully, you know, when one person or several people take care of their homes it just kind of moves on down the line,” said Debby Fulton, the City of Peoria Code Inspector.
