Drier after early morning storms

Lucky for us in central Illinois, severe storms stayed south, although we did have some loud storms overnight nonetheless. Now, a pattern change takes place.

Today: Chance of showers in the morning, then mainly dry in the latter half of the day. Cooler thanks to northwest winds near 10-15 mph. Afternoon highs reaching the mid 50s.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy and windy. Winds: N 15-20 mph, gusting near 30. Lows in the lower 40s.

Easter Weekend Outlook: Mostly cloudy and windy Friday with highs in the mid-upper 50s. Saturday, expect sunshine and temperatures a little warmer, with highs in the mid 60s. For Easter, 70s return with partly cloudy skies.
