A big sale will bring an economic boost for Bloomington.
State Farm Insurance has found a buyer for its old headquarters building downtown.
According to Jill Guth with Guth and Associates who is representing the undisclosed buyer, State Farm, and the buyer have come to a purchase agreement.
“This is a very exciting prospect! It is clearly great news for Downtown Revitalization and for the economic development of our entire community,” said Bloomington Mayor Tari Renner.
The buyer now has 90 days to close on the building.
Guth says the building is in great shape.
She added the buyer hopes to create retail and restaurant space on the first floor and office space on the upper levels.
