GALESBURG, Ill. (WEEK) — A Galesburg teen arrested for firing shots at a popular summer festival was sentenced Thursday to two years in state prison.
Latrell Patterson, 18, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm at the Galesburg Railroad Days festival last June.
Witnesses said a fight among young people escalated into gunshots. No one was injured in the shots fired incident.
Patterson received 227 days of credit for time already served in the Knox County Jail.
