PEORIA, Ill. (WEEK) — A Peoria man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a December shooting death in Peoria’s North Valley.
Lovell Eggleston, 29, was arrested Tuesday at the Peoria County Courthouse in connection with the Dec. 26, 2018 murder of Jerrimic Booker, 43. Eggleston was in court on an unrelated case.
Booker was found inside a building in the 500 block of Spring Street with gunshot wounds in the early morning hours of Dec. 26. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Greater Peoria Area Crime Stoppers offered their largest-ever reward, $6,000, for information related to the case. Booker was the 22nd and last-reported homicide in a 2018 marked by violence not seen in years in Peoria.
