Hundreds of people were treated to a Thanksgiving meal today thanks to the Community Workshop and Training Center in Peoria.
The CWTC is a non-profit serving adults with disabilities.
Today, folks who use their services enjoyed a meal with staff members.
One woman who has been with the organization for over 30 years said this is an important tradition for them.
According to the Executive Director of CWTC, Patti Gratton, “A lot of our folks we are their family and they don’t have an immediate family so we want to make sure this day is special for them”
She said they plan to continue this tradition. They served about 350 people today.
