An East Peoria man, accused of murdering a Peoria man earlier this month, has been indicted on first degree murder charges.
28-year-old Thurmen Ellis was indicted Tuesday for the murder of William Edwards.
On September 9th, Edward’s body was discovered inside a garage lying in a pool of blood.
He had been stabbed to death, and suffered blunt force injuries.
Peoria County coroner Jamie Harwood said injuries indicated Edwards tried to defend himself.
Ellis is scheduled to be arraigned on October 4th.
