Semone Doughton


Semone Doughton came to WEEK-TV from WTVM/WXTX FOX 54 in Columbus, Georgia. Semone was the 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Primary Anchor for 16 years in Columbus. Her hometown is Houston, Texas.

During her long career in television broadcasting, Semone has worked for TV stations in Alabama, Texas, South Carolina and Kentucky. She has two daughters, Shanah and Sydney and a pup named Gizmo.

During her long career in television news, Semone has won several Associated Press Awards for her outstanding reporting and has won an Edward R. Murrow Award for Best News Coverage of Kia coming to West Point, Georgia.

Semone met her husband Brian Roth, who proposed to her on live tv during her midday newscast, in Peoria, Illinois.

Semone loves international and domestic traveling  and spending quality time with friends and family.
