I’ve been a part of the 25 Weather Tracker team since May 2017. In May 2019 I was promoted to mornings. You can now catch me with your forecast weekday mornings from 4:30 to 7 and again from 11:30 to 1!
Here’s a little more about me. In my spare time you’ll find me building my model train layout, travelling and blazing a trail in some park, or playing guitar! I also keep busy working on my Masters degree through Mississippi State University’s online Applied Meteorology program.
I’ve done a little bit of everything in broadcasting. I came to WEEK from WEIU, the PBS station at Eastern Illinois University. I’m a 2017 graduate from Eastern with dual degrees in Environmental Geography & Communication Studies, and minors in Broadcast Meteorology & Earth Science. I also hold an Associates degree from Vincennes University, where I worked at another PBS station, WVUT. Along my journey, I interned with the meteorologists at WISH-TV in Indianapolis. I’ve also done quite a bit of time ‘behind-the-mic’ in country and top-40 radio. I worked at WMDH-FM in Muncie, Indiana, along with WCBH & WMCI in the east central Illinois area.
I’m blessed to get to tell everyone how to plan for their day every morning, and I’m very passionate about it! I’m lucky to be a part of Peoria, Bloomington, and central Illinois’ top morning show, and it is a plus that I get the same schedule as my fiance as we plan our wedding!
Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook to stay connected; and if you see me around, be sure to ask me what the weather is going to be like!
