FedEx driver escapes injury after semi fire

LEROY, Ill. (WEEK) — Some tense moments on Interstate 74 in Rural McLean County, as a semi truck catches fire.

The fire broke out just near the LeRoy exit just before 5 AM Thursday.

Authorities tell us the driver noticed the Fed-Ex Ground truck on fire, and pulled off.

That driver is uninjured.

Exit 136 was closed for nearly an hour due to the cleanup.

It has since reopened.
